Bearded Dragon

Pogona minor

Rather than a beard, dragons have a flap under their bottom jaw that can be expanded to help them look fearsome to predators and rivals. They are also able to change their colour to blend into the environment. Dragons have some unusual behaviours such as head bobbing and waving one arm as a sign submission. They are omnivorous, lay their eggs in burrows and can often be seen basking in the sun. The presence of dragons is considered a sign of successful rehabilitation.
